Breast Revision Surgeon Inland Empire
For varied reasons, there are times when a primary breast augmentation may require a revisional procedure. Some of these include dissatisfaction with a previous surgery, implant changes over time, and/or saline or silicone gel implant exchange. At my Inland Empire plastic surgery practice, approximately 25 percent of new patients inquire about breast revision surgery. I am committed to helping these patients achieve their ideal goal with this procedure.
A few of the common factors that contribute to implant changes include aging, gravity, and sun damage. Over time, the natural aging process causes the breasts to sag and lose volume; and even though a patient may have breast implants, these characteristics are often inevitable. The breasts lose elasticity and no longer hold their youthful appearance, which may require a breast lift and revision at the same time. In addition, many patients who initially received saline-filled breast implants prior to the FDA approval of silicone gel implants are now interested in an exchange. Based on the patient’s anatomy, primary implant surgery results, and desired outcome, a personalized surgical plan is created to meet her needs.
If you are in need of a breast revision procedure, I encourage you to contact my Inland Empire Breast Revision practice to schedule an appointment. During this time, we can discuss your options in breast surgery and cover any questions you may have.
